What is it about American High Schools? As an employer, I want people who have been trained to think! Our schools have been designed to spit out people who follow orders and keep to schedules, but rarely to think.
In fact, in my humble opinion, we have created an environment where cheating is not only acceptable, but somewhat encouraged.
I never really thought that I would become a supporter of High School Athletics, but along with Music and other programs, extra-curicular activities are the only place in our schools where we build leadership skills.
Do they really think we need more people that have been trained not to think?

Has anyone else noticed that all of the careful baggage screening in the world wouldn't have stopped 9/11?
Is it JUST me, or are we really falling for this stuff? What about starting a WHOLE new intelligence agency, when it turns out that we just need to analyze the data that we already collect? Isn't that just MORE turf? Sometimes I wonder why I bother caring. No one seems to be thinking like an adult anymore...
Whatever happened to the simple truths, like treat others the way you want to be treated? And what is wrong with failing? Whatever happened to no pain, no gain?
Weren't those the ideals that our country was founded on? What happened to working hard?
